		<description>Thanks for the kind words.  I couldn&#039;t agree more that a great deal more work is required to truly understand Detroit&#039;s architectural heritage especially leading up to the 1920&#039;s.  I realized that I was only scratching the surface as I looked through the exhibition catalogs.  I wish I had more time I to really understand that time period...

Your site is interesting and refreshing to me, an architectural historian in Detroit since 1972.  I am surprised and pleased that you have found the Thumb Tack Club and its exhibition catalogs.  So much of Detroit&#039;s true architectural history remains buried and requires focus, original research.  What is published, true or untrue, is perpetuated.
