Quicken Loans has completed their purchase of the Chase Tower and nearby parking deck Two Detroit Center.
This announcement puts them right in the middle of Detroit’s Financial District and will reinforce the already popular Campus Martius area.
Quicken Loans plans to completely remodel the first floor into a pedestrian-friendly retail space.
Quicken Loans also recently completed the purchase of the Madison Theater Building which will be renovated into a business incubator.
In the past, Quicken Loans had considered building on multiple pieces of property between Campus Martius and Grand Circus Park.
When their move is complete, they will have added nearly 4,000 employees to the downtown area.

Many were looking forward to Quicken Loans building a new building on the old Hudson’s site adjacent to Compuware or on Grand Circus Park. Either move would have helped strengthen the Woodward Corridor.
